2nd Annual Alumnae Conference
Conference programs will be held on Friday, March 11 at Jon M. Huntsman Hall on campus. We’ll kick things off on Thursday evening, March 10, with cocktails at 7pm and a talk by Connie Duckworth (WG79).

Connie Duckworth, WG79, Founder and CEO of ARZU
Connie founded ARZU, Inc. in 2004 and serves pro bono as Chairman and CEO. ARZU is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides sustainable income to Afghan women by sourcing and selling the rugs they weave. A retired Partner and Managing Director of Goldman, Sachs, & Co., Connie was named the first woman sales and trading partner in the firm’s history during her 20 year career.
Ms. Duckworth is a Trustee of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company and a Director of Russell Investment Group; and Steelcase Inc. She’s the author of The Old Girls Network: Insider Advice for Women Building Businesses in a Man’s World (Basic Books 2003).
Ms. Duckworth holds an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from the University of Texas.
Susan Ganz, WG88, CEO Lion Brothers Company Inc.
Suzy brings over twenty years of leadership experience in the global textile and apparel industry as principle shareholder and CEO of Lion Brothers Company Inc, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of brand identification products, working with many of the world’s most notable brands including: Nike, PUMA, Adidas, Champion Products, The NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB Professional Sports Leagues, Girl Scouts of America, Boy Scouts of America, Harley Davidson and the Federal Government. Suzy has led Lion Brothers through transformational change by leveraging new technologies to create proprietary product and service innovations for the marketplace.
Suzy serves on the Board of Visitors of Towson University, the U.S. Presidential Scholars Foundation, is the Vice-Chairman of the Regional Manufacturing Institute and the Maryland Israel Development Center and as Commissioner on the Maryland Economic Development Commission. She has been inducted into Maryland’s Circle of Excellence for having been named among the Top 100 Women of Maryland three times. She has received numerous awards for her leadership and commitment to innovation and sustainability, and is involved in women’s entrepreneurial and economic development initiatives around the world. Suzy is a member of Young President’s Organization (YPO/WPO), The Committee of 200 (C200), and Network 2000, Maryland Women’s Business Leadership organization. She is married to Howard P. Sugarman and is the proud mother of three children, Sam, Ali and Molly.
Suzy holds an MBA in Finance and Multinational Management from the Wharton School and a BA in Economics from the University of Florida.
Priya Trauber, WG ’97, Head of Women’s Initiatives, Morgan Stanley
Priya is responsible for the continued development and execution of Morgan Stanley‘s strategy to attract, retain and develop women across all businesses. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley in 2008, she spent several years at UBS Investment Bank in a number of roles, including Americas Head of Diversity. Priya began her career in Investment Banking at Credit Suisse First Boston.
Priya is a member of the Center for Work- Life Policy “Hidden Brain Drain” Taskforce, the National Council for Research on Women Corporate Circle Advisory Board and The White House Project’s Corporate Council. She is a current member and former Chairperson of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) Diversity Committee.
Priya graduated cum laude with a B.S.B.A. from the American University and has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Darien, CT.
Dr. Monica McGrath, Wharton Adjunct Assistant Professor of Management
Monica will lead us in discussion on topical questions on women’s leadership and current research. Our diverse alumnae panel will discuss questions and solutions in the contexts of their careers and organizations.
